Can dogs eat apples?

Apples are a great healthy treat for dogs. Apples contain calcium, vitamin K, vitamin C and pectin (soluble fiber).

Some ways to feed your dog with apples:

  • Serve it as a frozen slice.
  • Wedge it into a Kong.
  • Apple pops with apple sauce.
  • Grated as a dinner topping.
Avoid large amounts of apple seeds and stems in fresh apples. It can cause tummy upset and more serious problems if consumed in large quantities. Be careful with dehydrated apples, it has no water and can create tummy upset too.
